OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Wayne served as the President of the Columbia River Bull Terrier Club of Oregon from 2005 to 2006. During that time we hosted the annual Rose Cluster banquet that attracts both standard and Miniature Bull Terrier owners from around the globe. Our kennel annually hosts a kissing booth with puppies to promote awareness of the bully breed and to raise funds for the club during the Eukanuba Classic. Debra was the news letter editor from 1994-2004 in which there was communication with nationwide Bull Terrier clubs regarding current bully issues. We have been CRBTCO club members for about18 years.
As of 2009 Wayne has served as founding President of the Northwest Miniature Bull Terrier Club whose events mirror those of the local standard Bull Terrier club. Our kennel often hosts a Meet the Breed Booth & potluck in conjunction with the January dog show.
In 2003 Wayne and CH. Coco Chanel were invited to be filmed by Animal Planet for the Eukanuba Rose City Classic. This dog show is occasionally still shown in the scheduling line up on Animal Planet.
In April of 2008 Caes & Cia Magazine interviewed Kennel Calypso and featured Calypso's Cozmic Typhoon and CH. Calypo's Lilliputian as outstanding examples of the breed of Miniature Bull Terrier in an issue reviewing the breed.
In 2004 CH. Calypso's Lilliputian was invited to attend the Van Hildrikhusen dog show in the bred by exhibitor category, in which she won the Best of Opposite award.
The Van Hildrikhusen is the pinnacle dog show for Miniature Bull Terriers in the United States.
We are proud and thankful to have been allowed to breed with stud dogs bred by Bonsai Miniature Bull Terriers, Cambria Miniature Bull Terriers, Envision Registan Miniature Bull terriers, Tecuya Miniature Bull Terriers and Naderes Miniature Bull Terriers. These breeders produce some of the finest bullies in this country.
In 2007 Wayne served on the AKC Miniature Bull Terrier Club of America's Health Committee. This gave us the opportunity to become more aware of organizations and studies that are underway to address the many health issues facing Miniature Bull Terriers. We have been members of the AKC MBTCA for 12 years.
