The Miniature Bull Terrier Standard
Here is a pretty good looking colored Mini Bull Terrier. The MBT conformation is strongly built with a height not exceeding 14 inches. The head is egg shaped with no hollows. The head is longer from the eyes to the nose than from the nose to the top of the skull. The skull is flat between the small, thin, pointy ears that are placed close together. The muscles are well defined, with a deep & wide chest. The ribcage is rounded and there is a gentle slope up to the belly. The top line should be level behind the withers and arch slightly over the loin. The neck is large and strong. The feet are cat like in shape. The tail is short and set low, while carried horizontally. The distinctive eyes are dark and triangular. The front legs should be strong & round while being perfectly straight without elbow protrusion out at the sides. Hind legs are parallel when seen from behind with a muscular thigh and second thigh as well.
The short, flat, harsh feeling coat can be colored or white. If colored, the color must predominate in percentage over the white. If white the only markings allowed are above the collar, however skin pigmentation is not a fault. Colors vary and can be brindle, white, black & white, red, faun or tricolor. If all other things are equal then brindle is given the preference in the show ring.
The attitude is playful, yet fearless, with a jaunty demeanor. A bully should look like it is having fun but be amenable to discipline. They are often called "little clowns".
