All our small Miniature Bull Terriers are fully integrated into our family life from the day they are born and attend socialization classes as soon as they have all their shots. Although we have indoor kennel facilities our Miniature Bull Terriers live with us in the house and do not live in dog runs.
We have strong relationships with 3 "bully" Vets, 1 canine psychologist, 2 professional dog handlers and many other bully breeders all over the world.
We share advice from these professionals and are always learning new information. We are members of the AKC Miniature Bull Terrier Club of America (MBTCA) and have held elected positions in the local Columbia River Bull Terrier Club of Oregon and the North West Miniature Bull Terrier Club including the Presidency of both clubs.
Breeding and showing MBT's is strictly our hobby. We have regular jobs as an Engineer and an Architectural Designer to feed ourselves. We are blessed that we have a home office and spend days with all our Mini Bull Terriers. Our sister lives with us and is a welcome help in rearing our Mini Bull Terrier puppies.
We practice the highest ethics with regard to our breeding activities. Our Minis Bulls are always cared for, health tested, and microchipped by us. We use a raw diet for our Miniature Bull Terrier feeding program. Our main focus & objective is to produce the BEST temperament MBT's.
Our biggest concern is any dog that leaves our home goes to the best possible, loving environment. This is because each and every one is very close to our hearts and is part of our family.
Before leaving they sleep inside, in a bed, watch TV, ride in cars, run on the beach, attend dog classes, visit assisted living facilities,belong to assorted bully clubs and sometimes get entered into shows. Kennel Calypso breeds
fun loving Miniature Bull Terriers that are an integral part of our family. Although we do "show" dogs, our primary focus is just how much we love this breed and the puppies they bring into our lives.
We started out with standard sized Bull Terriers over 20 years ago but found the Mini Bull Terriers to be profoundly better suited to residing in our house. Less food, less poop, less space in the bed...and easier lift too!
Our kennels are located just outside of beautiful Portland, Oregon and we have a large facility on the coast as well that we use for training, exercise and socializing on the beach.
