Miniature Bull Terriers are like fearless little clowns with occasional short bursts of crazy energy coupled with a love of being a couch potato. They love people and attention and can be extremely kissy face as well as stubborn. They get their feelings hurt easily but are very forgiving. The average mini bull size is around 12-15 inches and about 30 pounds, but it does vary. Standard size Bullies are a mix of the White English Terrier (extinct), Dalmatian and the Bulldog. Standards were then bred with the Jack Russell to reduce the size to a miniature. Australian Bullies can be a mix of standard and mini's resulting in what is called an interbred. We have been asked countless times if Mini Bulls are like Pit bulls. THE ANSWER IS NO.
temperment & breed history of the Mini Bull Terrier
We often get asked this question and hear stories of when people make inquiries to buy a pup they are treated rudely. The dogs and their puppies are very dear to our hearts and the callous way some callers treat the prospect of getting a living puppy seems outrageous against the mega-effort it takes to produce a healthy miniature bull terrier litter. We all get many inquiries because bullies are in such short supply. Often a breeder just won't want to take the time to deal with a buyer who is uneducated about the breed, or only cares about cost. On top of this all reputable breeders have long waiting lists that are not usually first come first served, but rather "right" for the placement of their pups and they "don't" have to hard sell to get their pups placed. In fact the opposite is more likely true; you will have to sell yourself to get a pup from a reputable breeder.
The best way to ensure you can get a pup from good kennel will take building a relationship with a breeder over time so that when pups become available they are comfortable with you as potential owner. We understand this may be difficult with the common desire to have a pup right “now”. I cannot tell you how many individuals have contacted us, been impatient and purchased a pup off the internet, etc., only to encounter all sorts of problems. They then call us for advice, usually because the breeder will not respond to their calls.

what do Mini Bull Terriers cost
Cost can vary widely depending upon many factors. Rescue dogs, which can have problems, are occasionally available through dog clubs. A top quality female pup for breeding can be a big investment, as well as being hard to find. Generally Bull Terrier owners are very protective in placing their puppies because their temperament is so unusual. If you are looking for a white female with an eye patch you had better get in line. Most breeders have waiting lists for their miniature bull terrier puppies.
Over the last few years there were only around 400 AKC registered new Miniature Bull Terrier pups born. The gene pool is very small. You should note that generally speaking all the reputable breeders know each other and maneuvering around the bully breeder world can be a political experience, especially for new, potential owners.
Yes you can find Mini Bulls on line for 1000 bucks or less with health guarantees and promises of registration papers. Good luck if you go that route. MBTCA members are not allowed to sell their dogs in these venues and the club members police themselves very effectively. Referrals from club members would be viable. Puppy prices tend to range around 2000-5000 from a reputable AKC breeder.
Head bunts usually happen when a Mini Bull is sitting in your lap and flings its head back and catches you in the nose. Usually this will only happen once before you become wise to it. MBT have an amazing lack of respect for personal space, especially if you are not the pack leader. You might get a light bunt or two on your legs if the mini bully thinks you're not moving fast enough or you might find it is a sofa or bed hog. This behavior is never done in a mean or nasty way. Overall Miniature Bull Terriers tend to be unbelievably very loving and good with people, children and sometimes cats!
